DWM frezing when display is disconnected on multi-monitor system

I have Win7 Win64, with a GeForce GTX 760 and a Haswell i5-4690.

On GeForce I have my TV connected using HDMI and a 2560x1600 monitor connected with DVI-D.

On Haswell I have a 2560x1440 monitor, an old but very good 1680x1050 monitor, plus my new Yamaha A2050 receiver connected using HDMI. I know I could have connected Yamaha on GeForce, I'll fix that in the near future.

I can tu off any of my monitor, and before Yamaha I could tu off my TV too, and all was good. Now, with Yamaha receiver, many actions make Windows believe the display was disconnected. These actions include:

  • tu Yamaha off
  • change Yamaha input
  • tu TV off

When Windows believes a display was disconnected, it tries to rearrange the multi-monitor environment and move windows to new position. This makes dwm.exe freezes for almost 2 minutes. During this time whole GUI becomes unresponsive, some windows aren't printed and become all white, and finally it comes back with some windows in different positions, forcing me to reposition everything.

This behavior is already annoying when it happens less often, but it happens everytime I change input on Yamaha, and I can't even tu it off!

Is there any solution for it? Please, I'm really sad my new receiver is causing so much trouble.
