Windows Embedded remote administration

I have a setup that is running Windows embedded 7. My issue is that it seems that it is being remotely managed. I didn't mind the hand selected updates that were pushed, but I woke up the other day with the administrator passwords on all the systems changed. This is a problem. I still have administrative access from the account I created, but I don't like the idea of someone remotely managing the system and making big changes like that.

Where and how exactly is this done? Is it even possible to remotely change passwords to a fleet of systems worldwide like this or is it most likely some kind of software/service that they've installed?
