Lenovo G580 Zorin OS killed my bios. I can no longer access the bios or boot menu

I am struggling with a very serious problem with my old laptop.

I installed Zorin OS to my laptop and now Every time I try to access the bios or the boot menu It says please wait after pressing the right key but instead of taking me to the bios or the boot menu it skips and instead takes me to grub to boot Zorin.

I have tried to plug in a usb to see if it would boot to it with no success, I have tried pulling out the hard drive and then booting but it shows the bios splash screen then freezes on a blank screen and I have tried to remove the CMOS battery with no success either.

Does anyone know why Zorin did this to my laptop and if it can be repaired. I sure hope it doesn't involve flashing the bios as I have no means to do so.

My laptop has UEFI enabled in the bios.
