Does anyone have any advice or experiance with managing Windows 10 Startup programs, services and processes?
I have seen tutorials on how to mess with the registry to prevent programs from starting up automatically but that is messy and dangerous.
Ideally I would like the following, either a safe way to do it, or an open source program to do it with:
- To pick and choose which programs get to start up when I start windows
- To choose which programs start up when I log in
- To set a delayed start up for programs
- To choose the order of the delayed programs
In a perfect world it would allow me to choose, for each program, how many seconds after startup it should launch.
There must be a solution like this! I tried googling it, of course, but I found either software solutions that are for vista and older, no word on whether or not they'd work on windows 10. I also found some dodgey looking freeware, the type that look like they'd bomb your system with addware...
Am I the only one who's looking for this? Is everyone else using and SSD?
I don't want to sacrafice things like google drive, ASUS AI Suit and so on for the sake of a reasonable start up time :/
