Windows update stuck and errors

Hi so I installed windows 7 home premium SP1 (Dell) on my asus custom desktop but I have a windows 7 pro key so I used windows anytime upgrade to upgrade to pro but the computer shutdown before the upgrade could finish but no errors came up so I did not think any thing was wrong. Windows update was slow and did not find any updates in 2 days so I installed the patch KB3102810 and still no updates came so I installed the 2016 patch KB3161647 and the updates came right in about 5 update batches came in and installed right but then any update for windows failed I did a chat with microsoft and they fixed it 2 or 3 batches came and installed right but then I got the blue screen of death so I rebooted the computer but I did not even get to the starting windows screen so I reinstalled windows from a pro disk and now I cant find updates and I have had it going for 36 hours now and i need help and I don't want to recreate the problem if the KB's are to fault by installing them. please help
