How can I connect to/restore my Windows Home Server?

I have an HP MediaSmart Server EX490 still running WHS2003 and it has been fine for years - so much so that we have just being using the shares to store files on. All my computers have been upgraded to Windows 10 and none of them have the connect software installed.

Recently all the shares have disappeared, well I can't connect to \HOMESERVERNAME at all.

I can ping the server but that is all - no remote desktop or web browser. There are no red lights on the device so I assume it all working and I've done the usual tuing it off and on again.

I have two questions really - where can I find a Windows 10 compatible download of the connect software (since I can't access the shares I can't get to it)?

What additional troubleshooting steps can I take to gain access to the server?

Obviously there is a lot of data on there I would like to retrieve.
