Windows 10 Start Menu Settings App Not Working

So basically the start menu works as you'd expect for almost every program I've tested - you can search for something, then click a result and it will launch the app - apart from the new Windows 10 Settings app. Any search result that uses this app like update/restore/storage etc. doesn't work. It doesn't matter if the result is listed as a Best Match, App, or Setting etc. in the retued search results - anything that requires the settings app doesn't do anything when I click/right click/press enter. I can still however open the settings app by clicking the gear/settings button in the start menu (near the buttons for power and file explorer) and use it that way.

How can I fix this issue?
