I hope I explain the need properly and even more that there is a solution to it. What I am looking for is a way for cloud services to access my web server via a domain registration (not direct IP). Sounds straight forward, except the web server is a VM on my laptop. The laptop isn't always going to behind a router I can point incoming traffic at. More often then not it will be hot spotted to my cell phone. The web server is used for development and for presentations.
So what I am trying to do is route the cloud services to the VM on the laptop. Basically say I have a cloud services in Azure. They need to access my web server via a URL. I understand I can point the domain at the exteal IP of the laptopcell phone, but I am not sure how to route it to the VM. I know when I hosted a physical PC at my home, I routed traffic to it at the router. I don't have that luxury here.
So basically I am attempting:
Azure ---www.mydomain.com---> cell phone ---> laptop ----> Web Server (VM)
Does this make sense? If it does, can it be done and how?
Thanks you
