Is there a way to change video source on the monitor using script?

I am using setup in which monitor that accept multiple video sources (in my case DVI and DisplayPort) is coected to 2 different computers. Using monitor buttons and OSD menu I can choose which source is displayed (computer 1 or computer 2). Is there a possibility that I can perform this task - changing the source of the video - using script run on either computers?

If this function is dependent on actual hardware I am using HP LP2475W monitor.
