fastest archive format for quick search and random access

I am going to store a lot of files in archives without compression and i'd like to pick the container format that gives the best search and random access speeds.

So far I've found that:

(I am not sure about rar files.)

My guess is that having the table of contents at the begiing should be better, because you can access the first block of every file quickly in many file systems.
