Ubuntu KVM defaults

I have an issue with XRDP and ubuntu virt-manager, when using XRDP the VM guest does not recognize my keyboard, the fix is too change default graphics type to VNC. This is fine, but I cannot find a way to do this from the console, in virt-manger there is an option for defaults for new VMs, this is what I want to change via a script.

Any help would be appreciated.
