Copying frozen. How can I continue coping remaing data?

I started copying files onto an exteal HD. An Error apeard saying that a file could not be copied. I pressed skip, however the process stopped at 55%. I was copying about 750 gb of data. any ideas how I can continue from where the copying stopped? Can anyone recomend a file transfer manager of some sort?
