Disabling 802.11d outside on a Ruckus network switch cause connectivity issues?

Have a mostly Ruckus AP wifi environment outside the US. Having issues with our Motorola ET1 staying connected after going to sleep, (we have similar setup in other Ruckus environments with no issues). Comparing this environment with a similar Ruckus setup without the wifi drop issues, a network engineer suggested that maybe enabling 802.11d on the switches could help. Could having a US device with 802.11d enabled, on a network with 802.11d disabled cause connectivity issues? If so, could you explain why?
