Chrome remote desktop connection to windows 10 sporadic

I've a fresh install of windows 10 machine set up, that I'm trying to connect to remotely using chrome-remote-desktop.

I have set it up, and can connect to it just fine - I enter my pin, and can see the screen.

The problem is that after a fraction of a second, it seems I can't send mouse or keyboard events back to the windows box. I can still see what's happening on the screen, so the connection isn't lost. But looking at the monitor connected to the windows box, I just don't see anything happening when I do things remotely.

Sometimes, after a bit, it'll work again for a fraction of a second, and then stop.

Annoyingly, it works just fine before I sign in (for as long as it takes), but stops shortly after the desktop loads.

Any ideas what might be going on here?
