USB Gaming headset input catches output sound

i just bought a plantronics rig 500e i couldn't figure out why microphone input catches everything that goes through from output. For example, when i listen to a music or even when someone in a voice chat speaks, they can hear back. It doesn't need to be too loud. It happens even when i detach the microphone from the headset or set the microphone volume to zero. The only thing that works is disabling or muting the microphone from windows settings and of course that is not really useful :) I went through google but couldn't find a working solution. What do you guys think ?
