Where to acquire firmware for older Nokia phone?

I've got a Nokia N86 that I would like to start using again. Since I bought the device in late 2008 there have been numerous Nokia updates to the firmware (OS) that have never been made available by my carrier at the time (Orange Israel). From where could I safely acquire and apply these updates?

My desktop OS is Ubuntu Linux, so any installation methods that do not rely on Windows software would be preferable. Also, I would need Hebrew support. Do I risk loosing Hebrew support if I use a non-Israeli (i.e. stock) firmware?
