Google Chrome - ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE when accessing http://localhost/

I'm facing a strange problem with Google Chrome. When I navigate to http://localhost/, I'm am greeted with the error "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE". However, Firefox and Safari can access it fine.

• Removing Google Chrome and ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome, and reinstalling.
• Clearing the DNS cache

Other than the above, I'm not sure what else to do. There are no extensions enabled and I disabled my anti-virus.
