RAID 0 - what happens if Mainboard change?

i had a msi z77a-g41 mainboard with ocz vertex3 raid 0 configuration yesterday, my mainboard started no boot, it seems something wrong with mb cuz there is no video , no bios beep or screen, no any keyboard background lights(g105 keyboard). Now i found a another used mainboard which is asus P8Z77-V PRO, now i wanna ask this question, my raid disks will work on new mainboard without any formatting(i have some important files on my raid disks)

in my opinion they must work on new mainboard cuz i think there is no any special hardware raid controller on these mainboards also, they are same chipsets. am i wrong ? thanks...
