Caot ping, but can coect to the internet - Windows 8

I am not able to ping google.com or any other host when coected to etheet (request timed out), however I do have network coectivity. When I coect to Wi-Fi on the same network, I am able to ping. I also tried disabling the firewall, and that did not work, so it is not a firewall issue.
