How to save bookmarks for Kate?

I've become reliant on the bookmarks in Kate, but I work on multiple machines so it makes it an inconvenience to have to keep bookmarking the same places in my documents.

How do I export the bookmarks so that I can open them on another machine?

I already use ctags and commit the indexes to version control, but I would like to use the full advantage of the bookmarks. Surely this writes to a file somewhere that I can also commit, but where?
