Laptop water damage?

So, water got spilled on my laptop, It was not connected to power when it happened, but I didnt know that water was spilled on it so I tued it on and it went into system repair mode.. I realised that water got into my laptop, so I tued it off, and let it dry, without using it for 2 days. And now, when I tued it on, again it goes into system repair mode and doesn't find anything to repair.. What does that mean??
