Lenovo Yoga 700 14ISK Ubuntu Dual Boot Wifi Issue

I bought this lenovo yoga 700 14isk laptop just under a year ago and am trying to dual boot with ubuntu. It appears as though there is a lot of problems with the wifi driver, which carries over to ubuntu unfortunately. I would not recommend this laptop to anyone but I am stuck with it.

I have checked out a lot of guides but none have really worked for this laptop. (most are for lenovo yoga pro and non-pro).

Again I am new with this and any help would be appreciated. I have blacklisted the thinkpad_laptop module in /etc/modprobe.d/myownblacklist.conf. I also have 4.4.0-24-generic #43-Ubuntu SMP for keel.

an exteal wifi works "okay" but I want to fix this. Thank you all again for looking this over and providing any feedback.
