Download and Install Visual C++ from batch file

Would it be possible to write a batch file command to download and install the most recent Visual C++ redistributables onto a users machine during application install?

We would prefer not to package them up in our setup file to minimize size, and the easiest solution would be to add on to an existing batchfile which is already a part of our setup process.
