Security of TeamViewer

I am considering using TeamViewer to monitor and provide support to a relatively small group of computers. I am a little conceed with installing any sort of program that would open op our network to the public inteet. Is there a way to make this any safer? It is only going to be used to connect computers on the same network, and I don't need to be able to use it anywhere else. What is the most secure way to set this up?
