major problems with delayed notifications in Windows 10 notification center

I've noticed at least 2 of my messaging applications do this, they are not "Metro". But I think the one Metro app I use for messaging also does this, but I can't remember for sure.

Problem is simply that I often get notifications many many minutes after they occur.

How can I remove this delay?
