How do I set up an NFS mount in OSx?

خرید بک لینک

I recently purchased a NAS that supports NFS.

I am trying to mount the NAS NFS filesystem on a macosx, so that multiple users can use it.

What is unclear to me is how user names and permissions are synced and set up in NFS.

Right now I am trying to use:

 sudo mount -o rw,bg,hard,resvport,intr,noac,nfc,tcp mynas:/home /Volumes/mynas

but that doesn't work (I get Permission denied), even when I added a new user to the NAS (QNAP) which is the same as the user name on the mac, and gave it access to /home.

In general, it is not clear to me in a multi-user setup how do I make sure that users match, so that the NFS directory can have multiple files with different ownership, etc. and how do I sync the user names and passwords on my mac (or a Linux server) with the QNAP NAS.
