I have been to use EasyBcd to create a dual boot menu for my Windows7 and Ubuntu 14.04 installation. I had it set up yesterday fine, but tried to go another route (which failed), so I tired reverting back to the method I knew worked, but today I am getting error messages.
Mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: no such file or directory
Mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: no such file or directory
Target file system doesn't have requested /sbin/init.
No init file found. Try passing the init=bootarg
Here is a copy of the commands parsed in the menu file by Grub4dos bootloader.
title Ubuntu 14.04
find --set-root /boot/vmlinuz-3.19.0-61-generic
keel /boot/vmlinuz-3.19.0-61-generic ro root=/dev/sdc2
initrd /boot/initrd.img-3.19.0-61-generic
I have tried edting the keel /boot/vmlinuz-3.19.0-61-generic ro root=/dev/sdc2 to read sdc1, sdc2, and simply sdc, with all the same errors.
Originally what I did was to use EasyBcd to create a boot option for Ubuntu using the Neo Grub Bootloader method, as the Grub 2 option failed (see HERE for details on that)
