Plasma 5 login user list

My computer runs on a network configured with LDAP. I recently updated to Kubuntu 16.04 from 14.04, and now I cannot login graphically.

On 14.04, the login screen used to show my useame and two others who have ssh'd into my computer before. On 16.04, the login screen now shows everyone on the network but my useame, so I couldn't get in graphically. I can use ctrl-alt-f1 and log in via a tty console, and manually start the GUI. I tried switching the SDDM theme to one where one can type in a useame, but that doesn't work either - the graphical interface does not seem to recognize my useame+password combo.

So right now I have to use TTY to get into my computer, which is a bit of a nuisance since the computer doesn't recognize the F1 key on my mechanical keyboard, and I have to use a second keyboard to pull up tty every time.

Is there any way to flush the list of users known by SDDM or something to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.
