Recover Key from dead Windows 10 Laptop

My laptop has ran into a problem and not booting up, showing the unknown error. It had Windows 10 professional installed. Now i am thinking about booting via USB and do a fresh install.

The only conce is what will happen to the activation key. I didn't save it earlier. Will the Windows 10 install automatically do that for me or have i lost the license key.

Let me know what to do so that i can have the activated windows installed on my laptop.
