error 0xc0000034, Dii-Files fxer and cboot change

My computer, Aspire One with Windows XP, after 3 years in storage wants to update everything but I keep getting app can't be completed error 0xc000034. So I went to my Dll-Files fixer to se if it could help. Next moing when I log on my computer tells me someone else is on the computer and then when I tried to log off asked if I wanted to save changes to cboot. Because I know nothing about computers I'm hoping one of you with computer knowledge can tll me if I should have saved the changes, was that the file fixer, or is someone trying to change my computer so they can control it? Any suggetions on what to do will be greatly appreciated!Thanks!
