OpenSSL: pkcs7 to pem - email field not set

The question is probably stupid, so please accept my apologies for it:

After converting p7b file that received from my CA to pem, the emailAdress field is just appended and doesn't look like a "real" field:

Subject: C=US, O=Foo Inc, OU=bar, CN=this.foo.bar, L=footown/[email protected], ST=foo

The emailAdress was set in the CSR and is shown as a seperate field there. Have I made a mistake in the conversion?

I haven't found an answer in the doc, but I guess I'm just not seeing it :/
