Does combination of SSD and HDD require special Hardware?

I'm looking to buy laptop with i5 quad-core and 8GB RAM that has SSD and HDD. I found Lenovo that has all of this except HDD. The model that do have SSD and HDD comes with i7 and 16GB RAM.

I was wondering if this is the only option to get what I want or I can add SSDHDD to any laptop (of course only if it has the space for the device)?
