Using Pocket for bookmarking

I've been looking for an alteative to Xmarks for a little while.

I stumbled across Pocket. It seems like it has some cool features and I'm very interested in its organizational capabilities.

It seems though it is geared more towards providing the ability to keep articles to read for later, and then discarded. I believe I read that articles can also be archived if you wish to keep them.

Is anyone using Pocket as a bookmarking tool similar to that of Xmarks? I'm not really interested so much in the ability to read articles offline. I'm more interested in a more powerful feature set to organize bookmarks.
