Accessing a NAS on it's main IP address through a VPN connection

I have a OpenVPN server hosted on a QNAP NAS. The NAS and the OpenVPN work perfectly. The main IP address of the NAS server is 192.168.1.200. It creates a subnet for the VPN of 192.168.2.*, with 192.168.2.1 being the NAS itself.

While this technically works fine, I have the problem that my devices that would normally access the NAS from within the LAN via 192.168.1.200 cannot see it on that address when connected via VPN. They have to access it through the 192.168.2.1 IP address, and that means that I have to configure all the services twice on the client machines.

How can I go around that? is there a VPN config setting that let's me access the NAS through it's "native" IP address?

thanks!
