How to avoid program's root privileges in OS X?

I have a program installed with root privileges. But I don't want to give it root privileges because I don't want it inspect the files or some operations I am doing. So I created another account and want it run only under the account which cannot affect other user on this machine. But I found it run with root, How can I cancel its root privileges?
