Getting Cifs SMB Disk Usage Info from Ubuntu 12.04 to netapp

I need to retrieve disk usage information for a smb/cifs share from ubuntu 12.04 to a netapp but passing user credentials.

Currently I use the following command:

user@host:~$ smbclient //sharesserver/fileshare$ -U DOMAINuser -c du

This worked fine until smbclient was patched and is now not compatible with the netapp. As reported here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1327216

Is there another way you can think of to retrieve information about used disk space and total disk space for a smb/cifs share but authenticating with a users credentials?
