Microsoft excel collaboration

Is there a better way for multiple users collaborate on the same excel file? I am looking for something like google doc, so users can work on the same file at same time. I know something called Codoxware that can allow multiple users work on the same word file at the same time. anything for excel?

Does sharepoint can do the same?
