I have a PC with two partitions; one with Windows 8 installed and the other with Windows 10. Unfortunately I have a problem with the Windows 10 partition as described here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/windows-10-automatic-repair-loop-unable-to-access/80f1e0df-4141-462a-b536-5912a7761b99?auth=1
I want to run the command: sfc /scannow: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/929833. The first error I got was: "Cannot run because restart pending". This was resolved by deleting an XML file from the system32 directory. Now it says I have to run the command prompt with admin privileges. I cannot do this because I am not logged in (I am using the recovery option).
I can however boot windows 8. How can I run this command in Windows 8 but target the Windows 10 partition (c drive)?
