have a PC with two partitions:
1) Windows 8 Professional 2) Windows 10 Professional
I was using Windows 10 yesterday and I saw the blue screen of death. I get the "Preparing Automatic Repair", then "Diagnosing your PC", then the error "Your PC did not start correctly". I cannot boot into safe mode. I can boot the Windows 8 partition and there are no problems.
I have tried: CHKDISK (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CHKDSK), which said there were no problems. I also tried: sfc /scannow and I see this error: "There is a system repair pending, which requires a reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run SFC again"
I have also tried a repair (keeping files), which errors: "Additional free space is needed on the drive Windows is installed. Free up some space and try again."
I believe this is a software problem.
Q1) I have 95GB of space on the C: partition (partition with Windows 10 installed). I believe that only 20GB is needed. Why do I see this error? Q2) Why can I not run the scannow?
