I'm following a PHP course and have MAMP installed. A year ago it all works correctly. Now I started again and when I try to load the files in /user/Sites I get the following message:
The requested URL /~user/Sites/index.html was not found on this server.
Localhost is working correctly, I get the message: It Works!
I think the trouble is caused by updates. I googled around and followed some tutorials to fix the problems. All I did was unIdea some lines in htppd.conf, httpd-userdir.conf and in user.conf. After that the problem still exist.
When I puts apachectl configtest I got the following results:
AH00557: httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for customer.provider.com
AH00558: httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1. Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message
Syntax OK
I fixed this problems by adding the line ServerName Localhost in httpd.conf. When I puts apachectl configtest again I get the message:
Syntax OK
What can be wrong that Apache can't find the files in /~user/Sites?
