Google sheets: Automatically including new rows on separate sheet

I have a google sheet document with two separate sheets, Sheet1 and Sheet2. I want column A on both sheets to stay the same. Column A of S2 simply has ='Sheet1'!A2 for cells A2 on down. Let's call Sheet1 the master sheet.

The problem is, if I add a new row to the master sheet, Column A of S2 isn't updated until I reapply the ='Sheet1'!A2 formula. Even worse, if I apply the formula, columns B and onwards of Sheet2 are no longer related to the elements of column A of Sheet2.

Is there a way to get around this without having to update manually every time I add a new row to Sheet1?
