Good day-
I work in a variety of locations each with their own IP settings - some static, some DHCP, some wireless, some hardwired. I've written a bunch of batch files to quickly set and reset (thanks to those of you who taught me that) but I want to take it to the next step of laziness and configure based on location, possibly available wireless signals. so, if I see available wireless network "office wifi" configure all to DHCP, but if I see "location(x) wifi" then run my "location(x).bat" (or just copy in existing location(x) code). I'm open to alteative methods of detection. Running Windows 7.
I have seen the alteative settings option, but I keep 30+ IP settings so that's not quite enough.
The closest I've gotten is somehow inserting
netsh wlan show networks
as a variable into an existing batch but I can't figure out how to pull it in. Anyone have some sage wisdom for me? Thanks in advance-
