PQlabs Multi touch won't register touch on screen connected to mac

Trying to get a touch screen to work while connected to my mac (osx).

When I open the multi touch platform and try to run composite configure it does not register the touch, also won't respond to touch.

There are not a whole lot of options in the interface but I have tried them all at this point and cannot seem to get touch to be recognized. Calibration also fails.

Anyone else ever encounter this problem, any suggestions to look at would be greatly appreciated.
