Here's the issue: I've recently decided to move whole Samba service to new server without recreating everything again. So, I installed Samba on CentOS 6.7 and overwrote the following: /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, /etc/group, /etc/gshadow, [directory recursively] /var/lib/samba (*.tdb files mostly), [directory recursively] /etc/samba (smb.conf, smbusers)
After that I started Samba service and it's ok. All users and group are visible with exactly the same UIDs and GIDs. Shares are also visible. When I enter the Samba server from Windows 7 I'm being asked about credentials. They are accepted and I see the list of shares which is good. Unfortunately, I can't access any of them, which is odd because I belong to owner group. Do you know why access is denied?
It may be needed to add that the shares for samba are linked to new server using Rsync with root privileges.
Thanks.
UPDATE: the shares I'm linking to haven't change chmods after connecting by Rsync. Old Samba is v.3.6.9 and new v.3.6.23.
