Can Duplicate, but not Extend Display Win7 (Lenovo M58)

Specs are as follows: Lenovo M58 Win7 32bit SP1 Nvidia GeForce GT 610 (365.19) Acer Monitor (VGA) NEC NP60 Projector (VGA)

The machine was able to extend until a few days ago, unaware of the change that may have caused it (if any). I updated the drivers for the Nvidia to no avail. No other available updated drivers for the machine from windows update, or lenovo.

I can consistently duplicate the display to the projector, but the 'Extend' feature no longer takes. It shows as available, goes through the motions, asks if I'd like to keep the changes, but there is nothing displayed on the projector, unless duplicate display is selected. As stated before, the Extend option was working until a few days ago.
