Reducing Android-Chrome App stored disk data (not to be confused with its Cache or Data Usage)

In Chrome on Android (current @ v50.0.2xXX.XX), under App Info, my device shows (numbers are approximate):

Storage

Total: 1.0GB
App:   84MB
Data:  1.0GB

CACHE
_________________
Cache 24kb

I hit the 'Clear cache' button regularly and it saves ~100MB of disk usage, however hitting 'Clear data' would delete everything including saved passwords, login info etc. All tabs have been closed. Is there anyway to reduce the 'Data' (1.0GB) without losing everything.
