Google Drive upload of ~300GB constantly fails

I want to upload a folder containing hundreds of subfolders and hundreds of thousand files being about 300GB in total.

Every time I try that with the web version it suddenly just stops without any error messages or crashes. The first time it uploaded about 100,000 files then stopped but on the next time only 275 and also stopped.

I am using chrome on ubuntu.

Any lead why that happens or how to solve it is very appreciated. Thanks.
