Creating micro WiFi Speaker

I am looking for some help on creating a miniature wireless speaker setup.

I am in need of a miniature speaker (the smaller, the better)

and am looking for a basic wireless receiver? (i think they're called that)

Basically what I am looking to do is hook up this miniature speaker to this micro transmitter, and control the speaker via my home WiFi network. I would be sending brief audio messages to this transmitter, and expect it to play through the speaker (audio quality is not important - though it needs to be comprehensible). Eventually I would like to create a mobile application that is capable of sending said audio to the speaker.

Example: I record the phrase "stack exchange", and I send it to this tiny speaker at a range as far as my home WiFi network allows it to. The phrase "stack exchange" is then said through the speaker once it is received.

I also need to figure out how exactly to hookup this speaker to the transmitter (future problem)

Range is important. I need something that has the ability to extend as far as my home WiFi range.
