Unable to access any USB device

I'm trying to use an USB device but i get a "Access denied" error. This happens with any USB devices. If I go in "properties -> security" of the device, I can see that i'm not even authorized to see who is the owner of the device and obviously to modify it. I'm logged in as an administrator user. What can be the cause of that?
