Install gnumeric 1.12.9 on mac

I need to install an older version of gnumeric on my mac, but it seems that brew only supports the latest version (currently 1.12.27).

brew versions gnumeric doesn't work any more,

and if I do git log -S '1.12.9' on the unshallowed git repository at /usr/local/Library/Formula I get no results.

any further ideas?
